How Many People Work at Sheboygan Works on a Typical Day?

There is no typical day, but if there isn’t a larger meeting happening, there are usually at most 2-3 people working at the same time. It’s also quite possible you will be alone in the building, depending on the time of day, though we have security cameras and other monitoring in place for your safety.

Do You Have Any Private Work Spaces?

We have two privacy pods where a single person can comfortably work or take a video call. They have doors that you can close, but none of our spaces are completely soundproof if you are talking loudly enough.

Do You Have Any Private Meeting Spaces?

The Configurable Conference room is currently the only private meeting room. It has doors that you can close, but none of our spaces are completely soundproof if you are talking loudly enough.

Do You Have Any Private Offices Where I Can Meet With a Client?

No. We are working on adding these, but currently the only office large enough to meet with two clients (the “Corner Office” space) does not have a door.

Who Made the Fancy Space Information Signs?

The Rumblepop Design Company is the studio of Chris Jarosh, a designer, developer, and printer in Madison, Wisconsin. Rumblepop specializes in small- to mid-sized web design and development projects, as well as traditional print design work and letterpress.

Can I Host a Meetup or Event at Sheboygan Works?

Absolutely! We offer a good rate for booking the entire office if that’s what you need, or smaller meetups can be booked through the normal reservation process in the app. Let us know about your public meetup details and we will help advertise it for you. For charitable organizations, there is no charge to host your event here, but we reserve the right to decline based on any other factors.

Can I Present From a Laptop?

The main open area has an HDMI hookup to a ceiling-mounted projector and room for larger groups, but is not private. Email us to book that area. Otherwise, the Configurable Conference room has a wall-mounted monitor that you can connect a laptop to, either wired or wireless, and it also has a wall mounted camera+speaker for hybrid meetings where some participants are on a video call. This is currently the only private room with laptop projection capabilities.

Where Do I Park?

We have a small parking lot on the East side of the building. There is also usually room nearby on the street, plus there is room for 4-6 cars overflow directly behind the building, as long as you don’t block the overhead door access. When it is not in use, you may also park across the alley, behind the Red Schoolhouse. Please avoid parking in the alley or in the funeral home lot across the street.

How Do I Get In?

We don’t keep regular open hours, but often the front door will be unlocked. If it is not, or if you park in the side lot and do not want to walk to the front, the East side door may be opened with our app if you have a reservation. Open https://app.sheboygan.works on your phone (or you can install it to your Home Screen for future easy access). If it is within 15 minutes of your booking start time, you should see a button on the main app screen to unlock the side door. If you don’t see it, ensure that you are logged in to the app.

If all else fails, call or text the number on the door and we will remotely unlock it for you.

How Do I Pay?

Your balance due is shown on the Billing Accounts card in the app. Nothing is due until after your visit. If you want to pay with a check (or cash at your own risk), there is a secure drop box mounted on the wall in the front lobby. You may also mail in a check. Make checks payable to “Sheboygan Works” and write your account number (visible when viewing your billing account in the app) on the memo line.

After your visit, if you don’t leave a check, we will email you an invoice within a week. There are 3 ways you can pay the invoice:

  • Use the button in the email to pay online with a credit card

  • Send an ACH push payment from your bank’s online portal.
